Library Connectivity Landscape Map

Partnership is at the heart of this initiative, and so we’ve dedicated this page to highlight the organizations coming together on the Connect to Health @Your Library initiative, and other collaborative projects.

The Colorado State Library (CSL) and the Office of eHealth Innovation (OeHI) are working across the state with a variety of partners to build a solid foundation for telehealth in libraries. Part of that work is understanding the connectivity in a given area to see where initiatives could have the biggest impact for communities. We worked with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to create an interactive map showing the locations of libraries across Colorado, coupled with internet connectivity data from the American Community Survey (ACS). This map can be used to understand what communities have the lowest self-reported internet connectivity and/or web-enabled device access, and where libraries are located – highlighting how libraries may be one of the only resources for rural Coloradans with low connectivity to use the internet.
